Dumbarton 30 Year Old 1987 Sovereign TWB 10th Anniversary is a rare and highly collectible Lowland single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Dumbarton Distillery, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for their Sovereign series. Distilled in March 1987 and matured for 30 years in a single barrel (#13436), this exceptional expression was bottled in May 2017 as a specially selected exclusive release to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of The Whisky Barrel, with 197 individually numbered bottles produced.
This award-winning release gained significant recognition in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2018, receiving the prestigious Liquid Gold Award with an outstanding score of 96.5 points—further cementing its status as a standout example of long-aged grain whisky.
Dumbarton is one of Scotland’s lost grain distilleries, and extended maturation in American oak allows its spirit to evolve into a beautifully refined and silky profile. Layers of vanilla, coconut, toffee, and gentle spice combine with remarkable smoothness and depth.
